Today, tomorrow, and before all that

The Good Players continue to perform select engagements.  However, founder Stephen Nichols has focused his efforts in the studio.  Nichols has moved his studio, As Elyzum, to Chattanooga, TN and there assembled one of the finest collections of analog synthesizers and vintage music-making tools in the southeast.  Nichols most recent role has been that of producer/engineer/songwriter for Atlanta-based independent artist, David Brooks, whose eclectic output incorporates experimental soundscape, dance pop, and everything in between.  Two albums of original material, some co-written by Nichols, are tentatively slated for a winter 2006 release.

Audio recording for A Good Measure continues.  Film footage is archived for editing and awaits completion of audio elements.  Expect much progress over the first half of 2006.

Nichols has also written an entire album of pop material.  A recording date has not been set.

Something's coming. The Good Players have reconvened for what will prove a run of mindbending performances replete with the in-all-the-right-places stimuli you've come to expect: sounds you've not heard yet because we invented them (patent pending), motion pictures to which you thought only your grandkids would be privy, and Goody bags to amuse and surprise your friends!

Also expect more available merchandise including, but not limited to, apparel, posters, compact discs (former projects or demo recordings), film shorts like the 9-minute documentary on the science behind A GOOD MEASURE: ABSTRACT FOR A WORK IN PROGRESS --coming soon to the web site!--and a short educational film on INTUITION. Lastly, in limited supply, purchase a short video chronicle of St Nich shaving his beard which will include actual hairs from St Nich's beard. Use the included DNA to grow your very own St Nich, but don't expect him to do dishes: DISHPAN HANDS BREAK UP BANDS! Some of these may only be available at performances so keep your eyes and ears open for shows near you! The eye hears, the ear sees.

For those who have forgotten, www.agoodmeasure.com is a one-stop-shop for all your online gambling needs. Special thanks to Mr. Patrick McNeely for effectively harnessing the power of the people-eater: INTERNET. We'll be adding features (showtimes, interviews, sound clips, interesting links, progress reports, etc.) like Meat Loaf, as the kids say, so stay tuned/check back often.

Some of you may be giddy to know that brand new copies of Annie's 1999 sound adventure, SCI-FI CANON BLUE(S), have been excavated from an obsolete metro tunnel in Paris. Authorities have confirmed their radioactivity. Due to payoffs to senior Interpol officials, you can now own a piece of half-life history for only $10 (plus cheap shipping if ordered from the web site--expect a free Annie sticker for your troubles). That's right--support a new recording project by obtaining and enjoying a former. Please recycle.
